The Dynamic Movement Skills (DMS) system was developed by Mike Antonaides from the “running school” with over 20 years of experience in training both adults and children from various sports in running and speed & agility.
The DMS system helps train coordination, balance, rhythm and agility. These core abilities are essential for good movement, improving running technique, functional movement and speed in sport. The system is being used in schools for improving gross movement skills in children and the pro version is being used to train professional athletes. Initial data collection is also showing a reduction in sport injuries.
Some of the current problems we see in all ages with movement are faulty landing mechanics after a jump, lack of coordination, faulty running mechanics – usually on one side, only able to turn in one direction in sports, difficulty in certain movements in playing racket sports and improving body awareness in golfers for a more consistent golf putt.
The DMS system has been used to help train out these issues; it works by training all planes of motion within the training system. We have different versions available to suit the needs all age groups.
