Coaching and training people from all backgrounds and all abilities within a fitness/sports conditioning program should be part of being a Strength and Conditioning coach’s role. Being able to, assess and differentiate individuals needs and eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation and foster good relations between individuals is what makes a better coach.
As a coach it is our responsibility to you ensure that every participant, athlete or player that attends our sessions and receives the same level of support and respect.
We recognise the seven protected characteristics identified in the 2010 Equity Act, from which we have identified three keys areas which will have the greatest impact on sports/fitness participation.
3. Race and ethnicity
We constantly work towards improving our coaching skills in support of the key areas and we also strive to safeguard Children and Adults from Risk of Harm.
